The ECN in ECN forex broker stands for "Electronic Communications Network " which is a computerized trading network that matches buy and sell orders entered electronically by customers. An ECN broker does not have currency fixed spreads, as the buying and selling rates vary depending on market conditions. Spreads may widen during volatile market conditions.
